Local Partners

Much of The Foundation's initial work in Eritrea focused on the construction of the IOL manufacturing laboratory and the provision of training and equipment for local doctors.

The Foundation has had a long association with the Eritrean Government and the Eritrean Ministry of Health (MOH). A formal Memorandum of Understanding has been undertaken with the Eritrean MOH to progress the Eritrean Blindness Prevention Program and the National VISION 2020 strategy.

The Eritrean Blindness Prevention Program has also received funding from AusAID, the US-based Eritrean Development Fund and Rotary International.
