The Fred Hollows Foundation warmly invites you and your guest to meet Dr Ciku (Wanjiku) Mathenge, one of our most inspirational eye surgeons.
Dr Ciku was trained by The Foundation and she is the embodiment of Fred Hollows’ dream – to see local doctors working to end avoidable blindness. After establishing eye health programs in Kenya she is now leading the way in Burundi and Rwanda.
As The Foundation’s Medical Advisor for Africa, Dr Ciku joins us to discuss eye health in the region, and share how your support changes the lives of people living with avoidable blindness in some of the poorest countries in the world.
We hope you can join us to hear from this extraordinary eye surgeon.
