The Fred Hollows Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Jane Madden to join its Board this month.
Chair John Brumby said he was pleased to have a new Director with Ms Madden’s outstanding experience.
“Jane is a Senior Executive with a passion for international development and more than 25 years’ experience across both the public and private sectors,” Mr Brumby said.
“She has held positions at the most senior levels of the Australian Commonwealth Departments of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Austrade, Industry and Prime Minister and Cabinet.
“Her experience in international development will be invaluable as The Foundation continues its mission to end avoidable blindness.”
Jane has been a Board Member of the Black Dog Institute, the President of the National Foundation for Australian Women and a Member of the Lirrwi Arnhem Land Indigenous Advisory Panel, among a range of other experience.
“I am excited and honoured to be joining The Fred Hollows Foundation’s Board. The Foundation is an organisation I’ve long admired. I believe its determination to deliver on Fred Hollows’ vision of a world where no person is needlessly blind is an important goal, especially as the world grapples with the difficult consequences of the pandemic,” Jane said.
