The Fred Hollows Foundation today paid tribute to author Peter Corris who has passed away.
Mr Corris wrote more than 100 books including the autobiography of Fred Hollows.
Gabi Hollows came to know Peter well while he spent time with Fred researching and writing the book.
“It is incredibly sad to hear of Peter’s passing. Peter and Fred developed a very strong bond while he was writing the biography,” Gabi said.
“I am sure Peter and Fred will be upstairs sharing a few yarns.”
The Fred Hollows Foundation continues to use the book as a great source of inspiration for supporters and staff.
The Foundation wishes to express its condolences to Mr Corris’ family - his wife Jean, three daughters and seven grandchildren.
