APA’s support has helped restore sight and improve the health outcomes of many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in remote and underserviced communities around Australia.

Close Comfort

Close Comfort and The Fred Hollows Foundation have partnered together since 2019.

Close Comfort is an Australian owned and operated start-up, offering innovative portable refrigerated air conditioning solutions.

Invented by University of WA Professor of Engineering, James Trevelyan, the company’s vision is to provide affordable, sustainable and energy-efficient cooling globally. Its focus is especially on those people living in overheated climates and developing countries where the high cost and unreliability of access to electricity have historically been significant barriers to people benefiting from air conditioning in their homes and workplaces.

The Fred Hollows Foundation and Close Comfort share the belief that all people deserve the same quality of services, not only those living in the developed world. Through our partnership, Close Comfort is giving back to the communities where they operate, including Australia, Indonesia and Pakistan.

Corporate Match 2.0
Corporate Match 2.0

Corporate Match 2.0 is a world-first social giving initiative aimed at increasing corporate giving to the not-for-profit sector. Partnering with The Fred Hollows Foundation, other not-for-profits, philanthropists, and the corporate community, Corporate Match 2.0 aims to amplify donations by matching new or increased corporate giving, dollar-for-dollar.

The Corporate Match 2.0 founding supporter is Vivienne Court Trading (“VivCourt”). VivCourt is run by CEO and philanthropist Rob Keldoulis. It was established “to make money to make change” by supporting worthy causes and donates up to 100% of its net profit, generating millions of dollars in donations in recent years. Mr Keldoulis said, “We want to see our dollars to not-for-profits amplified, and this project can turn each $1 from us into $2 to $3. The corporate community has the resource, influence and reach, even during these tough times, to have a huge impact. A little by a lot is the key.”

HSBC is a major partner in The Fred Hollows Foundation’s ‘#EndTrachomaNow campaign, supporting us in our efforts to eliminate ‘#trachoma in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

iChoice launched their corporate partnership with The Fred Hollows Foundation in 2017, and are proud to support sight-restoring work in more than 25 countries around the world.

iChoice are the preferred mortgage advisory to Medical Industry professionals around Australia. Awarded “2018 Brokerage of the Year in NSW” by MPA Magazine, they package Home, Investment & Business loans to deliver excellent outcomes for their clients.

JB Hi-Fi

JB Hi-Fi runs a national workplace giving program, ‘Helping Hands’ and an in-store ‘spare change’ program called ‘Change for Change’. With matched giving on workplace giving amounts, JB Hi-Fi is one of The Foundation’s most significant partners.

JB Hi-Fi is Australia’s largest home entertainment retailer, specialising in video games, music, movies, and various electronic goods. There are 184 JB Hi-Fi stores around Australia, with a further 15 operating in New Zealand.

PLAYGROUND XYZ
PLAYGROUND XYZ

The Fred Hollows Foundation has partnered with PLAYGROUND XYZ as they use vision to restore sight to people who are needlessly blind.

To collect data for PLAYGROUND XYZ's Attention Intelligence Platform, they built the Vision Project - an opt-in web browser where they conduct market research.

When people use their app, PLAYGROUND XYZ makes a donation to The Foundation. To date, they've committed enough to restore sight to as many as 1,000 people in disadvantaged countries.

TechnologyOne

The Fred Hollows Foundation has proudly partnered with TechnologyOne since 2017. The partnership is driven by TechnologyOne Foundation’s commitment to making a difference in the local and international community, by working with charity partners to empower disadvantaged youth.

The Brisbane-headquartered global business is working with The Fred Hollows Foundation to improve eye health for all Vietnamese primary and secondary school children through support of the Vietnam Eye Care Project. The program focuses on the development and adoption of national school eye screening guidelines.

World Nomads Group
World Nomads Group

Customers of Travel Insurance Direct and World Nomads have collectively raised almost half a million dollars through micro-donations to fund The Foundation’s sight-restoring projects in places such as Nepal, Cambodia and here in Australia.

The Footprints Network. is an alliance of e-commerce business making a difference with a solution that supports community development programs around the world. By enabling customers of online businesses to make micro-donations to sustainable projects at the point of purchase.

Travel Insurance Direct and World Nomads, both part of the World Nomads group and business partners of The Footprints Network, provide simple and flexible insurance when things go wrong for the millions of Australians adventuring overseas.

Yaru Water
Yaru Water

Yaru Water is partnering with The Fred Hollows Foundation to support our aim of improving the eye health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Yaru is more than water. Yaru Water is a social enterprise and a proud supporter of The Fred Hollows Foundation. Through nationwide sales of Yaru Water, money is raised and donated towards projects that help to close the health gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
