Registrations are now open for the 2011 Wild Women On Top Sydney Coastrek.

Coastrek is a 50-100 kilometre team trek along the Sydney coastline, to raise money for The Fred Hollows Foundation. The event will run from 4-5 March 2011.

Participants will trek along Sydney’s most scenic ocean and harbour beaches, headlands, cliff tops and bush tracks, from Palm Beach to Coogee. The event is being organised by adventure fitness company Wild Women on Top.

Wild Women on Top Managing Director and Founder, Di Westaway, said Coastrek is an opportunity for women and men to test themselves physically and mentally - and contribute to a worthwhile cause.

“The Wild Women On Top Sydney Coastrek is about vision, and so is The Fred Hollows Foundation,” says Westaway.

Last year’s Coastrek raised over $200,000 to restore sight to thousands of people living with avoidable blindness around the world. The endurance challenge promotes health and fitness. It encourages teamwork, mental and emotional resilience and fun.

“We are supporting The Foundation because our mission is to provide challenging adventures in stunningly scenic locations, which is the perfect link with a charity that devotes itself to restoring sight,” says Westaway.
