Joel Edgerton, Australian actor in the upcoming film, The Great Gatsby, has pledged his support to The Fred Hollows Foundation.

In a recent visit to the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, Edgerton met with renowned eye surgeon Dr Sanduk Ruit and the group of dedicated staff who work at the eye hospital in Nepal.

Edgerton is known for his roles in films such as Animal Kingdom (2010), Warrior (2011), Ned Kelly (2003), Star Wars (Episode II and III) and as Tom Buchanan in Baz Lurhmann’s adaptation of the classic novel The Great Gatsby.

As an Ambassador of The Fred Hollows Foundation Joel is a passionate supporter of the work we do in developing countries and in Australian Indigenous communities.
