Reconciliation Week 2010 marks the 10th anniversary of the Sydney Harbour Bridge Walk for Reconciliation.

On May 28, 2000, over 300,000 people walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge in support of Indigenous Australians and Reconciliation. Similar events followed in other cities and towns involving nearly one million Australians.

This year also marks the 10th anniversary for Reconciliation Australia, which was formed a short time after these events.

Make some time this week to learn more about Indigenous Australia and Reconciliation.

Here's how...
  • Read Reconciliation Australia's Q&A on the 10th Anniversary of the Bridge Walk.
  • Work through the Share our Pride website - an online learning tool for cultural awareness. Learn about Aboriginal Australia, better ways to build relationships with Indigenous people, how to show respect for Indigenous culture and the many ways you can contribute to Reconciliation.
  • Read The Foundation's Reconciliation Action Plan.
  • Find out more about The Foundation's work to improve the health and wellbeing of Indigenous Australians.
