With the passing of an Act of Recognition in Federal Parliament today, The Foundation is now calling on all Australians to get behind the movement to formally recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our Constitution.

The historic vote took place in the same week The Foundation is commemorating 20 years since the passing of Fred Hollows – a man who worked tirelessly to address inequities experienced by Indigenous Australians.

Last weekend, family and friends gathered by Fred's grave in Bourke, western New South Wales. Indigenous people who admire Fred's work and legacy were among those who paid their respects.
