National Eye Care Equipment Inventory

The Fred Hollows Foundation has been engaged by the Australian Government to compile a National Eye Care Equipment Inventory to help identify eye health testing equipment and training needs across Australia.

The inventory will inform Australian Government initiatives to Close the Gap in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health by:
  • Capturing information about existing eye care equipment, services, workforce and capacity-building in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector;
  • Identifying and prioritising eye care equipment gaps and needs in regions implementing the Roadmap to Close the Gap for Vision.

Secondary and tertiary services/ optometrists and ophthalmologists delivering eye care services to regions with high Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations are now invited to contribute to the project by completing the National Eye Care Equipment Inventory survey.

The survey can be completed by filling out the following editable forms:
Once you have filled out the form, please save it and email it back to us.

If you have any questions about the survey, please email Lisa Penrose.

Information on the eye care equipment needs required to deliver comprehensive eye health programs to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is essential to close the gap in vision and we thank you in advance for your participation.
