Accelerating change

Corporate social responsibility is not new.

However, it is increasingly transforming the way businesses across Australia operate. No longer a nice to have, it is becoming an integral part of business success and growth.

With over two million registered businesses in Australia, every possible competitive advantage is vital, particularly for start-up companies as they look to navigate a crowded marketplace.

When you embed social responsibility into the DNA of your business from the very beginning, it is, in its very essence, a part of who you are. It naturally fits with the brand story as you build it. It grows with you and makes sense to your customers and your employees as they quickly bond to your brand.

This is the story of The Fred Hollows Foundation’s newest Community Partner, Accelerated

Founded by Mark Donaldson in 2020, Accelerated is the first Australian-based expert network consulting business. Accelerated helps executive leaders to make better strategic decisions faster, by sourcing insights from the world’s best experts.

Mark has always enjoyed “giving back”. Whether that’s as a surf lifesaving volunteer for more than 30 years, or as the founder of Goodwill Group, a Social Venture start-up that helps charitable organisations and individuals to have more impact on the causes they care about.

That’s why when he started Accelerated, he knew social responsibility would sit at the heart of the business.

Mark said, “We build digitally connected, and globally diverse teams of experts to help solve our clients’ problems. It’s exciting to think our impact can extend beyond the project.  We chose to work with The Fred Hollows Foundation because of the high impact work they are doing around the world. Great insights are so valuable to our clients, but the impact that restored sight has for an individual is truly transformative”.

Accelerated have committed for every expert they recruit and interview, or for every client feedback survey they receive, they will donate $25 to help restore sight to someone living with avoidable blindness.

In their first year of operation, they aim to help restore sight to 400 people through their partnership with The Fred Hollows Foundation. This is quite remarkable.

Now more than ever, it is very encouraging to see small and medium enterprises and start-up companies contributing in a meaningful way; in a way that generously reflects their size and annual revenue in such a challenging year.

We are so excited to have Accelerated on board. Welcome to the Fred family!
