The Fred Hollows Foundation is one of Australia’s most trusted and recognised organisations, with a long history of successful community events. We are proud to announce we have two Foundation-run events this year:
In August 2021, we are hosting our second
Fred’s Big Run. A virtual fundraising event where participants choose to walk or run 25km, 50km or 100km for the month of August and fundraise to support The Foundation’s sight restoring work.
Fred’s Big Run was a huge success in 2020, raising more than $1.8 million for The Foundation. We had over 7,300 people take part in the challenge and step up for Fred.
This year we have even bigger plans to engage the public, and with the help of your business, we can reach more people and demonstrate our shared commitment to ending avoidable blindness.
The Fred Hollows Foundation is introducing a new event in October 2021,
Sydney Harbour Hike. Participants will walk 34km along Sydney’s stunning coastline and fundraise to support The Foundation.
In partnership with the Bondi to Manly Walk Supporters, we are seeking partners to collaborate with us in this new and iconic event for Sydney.

The Fred Hollows Foundation invites your business to be an event sponsor and to maximise a range of unique branding and engagement benefits.
The support and benefits of this partnership are tiered based on the level of giving:
- Prize Partner: various
- Event partner: $10,000 - $50,000
- Naming Partner: $100,000
Prize Partners – you will have the opportunity to promote your business by providing prizes, products, or discount codes to participants. The business’s logo will also be featured on the event website. Event Partners – you will have the opportunity to promote your business along the walk or at the finish line in a branded event marquee. Your business will also be featured in emails to the event database and across social channels and website. Please note these benefits are scaled depending on the level of support.
Naming Rights Partner – you will receive brand exposure across all facets of the event, including digital, print, media, and physical.
