As The Foundation gears up for its busiest time of the year, a call has gone out to people who would like to make a difference as volunteers.

The Foundation’s volunteer co-ordinator Caitlin Macdonald said that thousands of donations will be received at The Foundation's Sydney office in the lead-up to the festive season, in response to the annual Christmas appeal.

“Every volunteer who helps with opening, sorting and entering donations into our system plays a vital role that leads to a surgeon being able to perform an eye operation somewhere in the world,” said Macdonald.

“We couldn’t be more appreciative of the fantastic volunteers who come to our Rosebery office to assist in different ways. If you have been thinking about volunteering, now is the perfect time to get in touch with The Foundation and join the team.”

Most of The Foundation’s volunteers contribute between two hours and two days per week to assist with processing donations at our Rosebery office, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. Volunteers are needed on all weekdays. Training is provided.
